The Queen Christina Nations Cup was created to establish an event which enables a large number of International Six Meter Class “fanatics” to travel internationally and to engage in friendly competition.  This very special regatta hopes to ‘enable people to develop friendships which cross international borders and serve to promote the future growth of the International Six Meter Class’ and was designed…’to maximize the “fun had by all”.

The guiding principle of the Queen Christina Nations Cup is that it be a celebration of Corinthian spirit and camaraderie between nations and fleets sailing worldwide in 6mR yachts:  ‘Grace and humour shall persevere. Aggression is unwelcome. Protests are not allowed (except in cases of injury or damage without contrition)’.

The Deed of Gift, which follows below, outlines the unique elements of this event and is an enjoyable read!  There is no entry fee. Modern 6mR yachts will be provided to visiting teams of four.

Visiting teams currently confirmed include:

  • St. Francis Yacht Club (California)
  • Fleet Lake of Constance (Switzerland)
  • Seawanhaka Yacht Club (US East Coast)

Individuals are welcome to inquire as the organizers may attempt to assemble a single international team to challenge from the worldwide 6mR community.

Teams wanting more information and those wanting to acknowledge their participation should do so prior to June 30, 2016 by emailing the ISMA 2017 World Cup Chair:
